I love stories. I love telling them, I love watching them, I love writing them and I love that you can also use a story to describe a floor in a building in the UK.

I’m passionate about comedy in all forms: stand-up, improv, sketch, but in particular, half hour comedy. I was raised by the sitcom and some faves from childhood are Friends, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and The Office (sit down, both versions are pretty).

Some of my favourite writers include Oscar Wilde, Carol Burnett, Tina Fey, Mike Schur, Mindy Kaling and the person who wrote the McDonald’s Dollar Saver Menu.

I’m a huge fan of writers who create material for themselves like Lena Dunham, Issa Rae and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and even though I’ve seen every episode of Derry Girls I just love to have it on in the background when I’m cooking or curating my shoe horn collection (just kidding, I don’t cook.)

I believe in the full expression of the human condition and I think it’s important for writers not to censor themselves even when a first draft is rougher than a dog’s bollox. Storytelling has been around for millennia and there is nothing that can bring people together more than laughter.

Laughter and the Olympics.

Laughter and the Olympics and ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ at a wedding.

I’m also a member of Panera Plus, 6 Crunch Gyms (clerical error) and the Writers Guild of Great Britain.

My formula for writing is one half plot, one half character and one half jokes.

Below are some stories I’ve written, some produced, some not. Let me know if you want to see a pitch deck or read a writing sample :)
